Solid Form Innovations (SFI)

Welcome to Solid Form Innovations

At Solid Form Innovations, we’re redefining how industries harness the power of solid materials. With cutting-edge mechanochemistry, computational crystal structure prediction, and AI at our core, we deliver groundbreaking solutions across three key areas: Solid Form Discovery, Solid Form Screening, and Solid Form Upcycling. Our mission? To empower our clients in pharmaceuticals, petrochemicals, agrochemicals,  and polymer production with precision, sustainability, and unmatched expertise.

Science Meets Innovation

Materials are the foundation of progress, but unlocking their full potential requires more than traditional approaches. That’s where we come in. By blending advanced computational tools, proprietary software, and hands-on crystallographic expertise, we provide tailored solutions that de-risk development, optimize performance, and turn challenges into opportunities. Whether it’s predicting crystal structures, refining solid properties, or upcycling plastics into high-value resources, Solid Form Innovations is your partner in building a smarter, more sustainable future.

Our Services

Solid Form Discovery

Unlocking the unseen potential of your materials starts here. Using our proprietary software and state-of-the-art computational crystal structure prediction powered by AI, we help clients in the pharmaceutical, petrochemical, and agrochemical industries accelerate their R&D. We predict crystal structures and material properties with precision, de-risking solid form discovery and giving you a clear path to innovation—faster and more reliably than ever before.

Solid Form Screening

Precision is everything when it comes to engineering the perfect particle. Our expert team conducts comprehensive polymorph, cocrystal, and solvate screens of your active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), delivering deep insights into crystal structures, solvent stabilities, thermal profiles, and solubilities. Partnering with the KU Chemical Crystallography Lab, we leverage single-crystal X-ray diffraction (SCXRD) to determine the structures of new solid forms. The result? Tailored data that ensures your materials perform exactly as intended.

Solid Form Upcycling

Sustainability meets profitability in our pioneering upcycling solutions. For polymer producers, we’ve developed custom photomechanical equipment and specialized catalysts to transform hard-to-recycle plastics into valuable materials and fuels. Not only do we provide the tools—you can purchase our catalysts and equipment directly—but we also offer the expertise to integrate them seamlessly into your operations. Together, we’re turning waste into wealth and driving a circular economy.

Why Solid Form Innovations?

At Solid Form Innovations, we don’t just study materials—we transform them. Let’s shape the future together.

Our team combines world-class computational modeling with hands-on crystallographic and mechanochemical mastery.

From proprietary software to bespoke equipment, we tailor our services to meet your unique challenges.

Whether you’re developing life-saving drugs, high-performance chemicals, or sustainable polymers, we’re here to make your vision a reality.

We’re not just solving today’s problems—we’re building a greener tomorrow.
